What is the Children's Festival?

This annual festival gives children of Cheltenham their very own festival where they are the VIPS!  As a festival town, we feel it is important to give local children the chance to celebrated, as well as share their skills and talents!

Saturday 24th June will see this uplifting, FREE event return to the Cheltenham Town Hall for the 6th time with the theme of ‘Togetherness’!  

A big thank you to our headline sponsor InCito Group Holdings LTD, McDonald’s for their support this year.

The day will feature a large variety of performances, activities and workshops giving children and families the opportunity to play together, learn together and grow together!

The day is open to the general public from 11-3 (no booking required).  There is also a pre-bookable ‘quiet hour’ available from 10-11 for families of children with additional needs.

Town Hall events and activities

Jo Jingles – Singing, dancing, musical instruments, parachute and bubble fun.

Springbank Community Group – Junk modelling, kinetic sand and bag decorating.

Theatre Studio – Fun drama games and activities.

Aspire Foundation and Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation – Inspired by the book ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ – Come along and design a pair of pants as unique as you are!

CCP – Pom pom, wreath and and bracelet making.

With The Ball – CheerDance – Dream, believe, inspire… CheerDance is an empowering activity involving elements of cheerleading, dance and gymnastics. From stunts to tumbles and jumps to pompoms, we have something for everyone. Come and join us for some Cheer FUN!

Family Space – Jigsaw making and healthy food activities!

Simone Hopkins and Sons Martial Arts – Come and try martial arts as Simone and the team give you a chance to try some pad work and other activities!

Escape Rooms Cheltenham – Can you solve the puzzle?

Cheltenham Pride Festivals – Take part in a creative and inspiring storytelling experience relating to pride!

Dean Close Little Trees – Join in a range of activities centred around growing! These involve sensory activities, creative play and going green!

Cheltenham Borough Homes – To celebrate this year’s theme of togetherness, we would love for you to tell us what makes your community special!  We will have a large Community Map for drawing, colouring and sticking…come and visit us to take part and watch the community map grow with your ideas. 

Tots of Mess – Messy play and sensory activities for children.

Cheltenham Festivals – Fun With Stories: Come along with your under 5s for music, movement, drama and stories.

Stagedoor Learning – Interactive, fun performances, lasting approx 15 mins, suitable for all children and their parents to enjoy!

Cotswold Signing – Come along to learn British Sign Language (BSL) with Cotswold Signing!  Come join in the fun! There will be puppets, lights, bubbles and of course lots of signing!

Fun Science Cheltenham – Exciting science activities to make your hair stand up on end!

MoveMore – Speed stacking and archery

Cheltenham Town FC Community Trust – Test your penalty taking skills!

Cycle Stars – Cycle races around the park. Have you got what it takes to be a champion?

Gloucester Strutt – Make a model plane and learn all about aviation!

The Town Centre Stage

From 12-3, there will be non-stop energy at The Brewery Quarter as local youth groups take to the stage to showcase their performance skills in music, dance and drama!
