Throughout December 2020 NCLB and Cheltenham’s iconic Queen’s Hotel asked school children across our town to think about ‘Kindness at Christmas’

We ran a competition with 13 NCLB Community Partner schools, asking children to draw a picture of all the ways to express kindness over the festive period. Over 500 children took part, and staff at the Queen’s selected their favourites for a very special prize.

24 winners had their pictures revealed from behind the doors of a 3-storey advent calendar projected onto the side of the regency building, one for each day of advent.

The children and their families were then invited to celebrate with afternoon tea at the hotel, a really magical experience.
