#EatingWell
The #EatingWell category celebrates projects and organisations that are helping Cheltenham families to eat well, even on a budget, and make cooking and eating together enjoyable.
Finalists
Holiday at Home
The Cornerstone Centre’s ‘Holiday at Home’ gave families the chance to explore international cuisine, language and activities without the cost, stress and risk of travelling abroad. With every country ‘visited’ during the week, local people or volunteers made fresh food from their home country, including Malaysia, India and Canada.
#FeedCheltenham
#FeedCheltenham was launched by Family Space at the start of the pandemic to ensure that families in need of food could get it. They raised almost £60,000 to purchase supermarket vouchers and helped people access community food banks and pantries.
Foodie Friday digital project
Alongside their Wellbeing Wednesday craft activities, Cheltenham Borough Homes also delivered Facebook Live cooking activities, providing over 100 families with ingredients and a weekly livestreamed cook-along session making simple tasty snacks.
