The NCLB YEar of youth action 2025
The recent Cheltenham young people’s report ‘In Their Own Words’ found that only 18% of young people felt their opinions are valued by adults and professionals. We want to change this! The NCLB partnership are placing a greater emphasis on youth voice in 2025, working alongside young people to improve Cheltenham in a way that is led by them.
The ‘Year of Youth Action’ is focussed on the following themes:
- Mental Health and Wellbeing – Supporting young people to be resilient and live a positive, healthy and happy lifestyle.
- Community Safety- Supporting young people to be safe in the community.
- Digital Safety - Supporting young people to be safe online.
- Recreation and Opportunity – Providing opportunities for young people to engage in a diverse range of enriching recreational activities.
- Engagement and Inclusion – Supporting young people from all backgrounds to overcome barriers and engaging in positive activities.
Community Changemakers

As part of the Year of Youth Action, we are running the ‘Community Changemakers’ project. Any organisation that works with children or young people can take part via the link below!
