What is the Youth Café?
The Youth Café provides a welcoming space drop in space where young people aged 10 – 18 can spend time with friends, try new activities and access support in an informal environment. The cafe opens every Thursday from 3:30pm to 6pm. The sessions are supervised by DBS checked youth workers from the NCLB Team, Springbank Community Group CiC and The Rock.
Each young person receives a free food and drink voucher on entry every week which can be redeemed for a range of snacks and refreshments, including cheesy chips, cheese bites, chicken bites and drinks.
Young people can drop in and out throughout the sessions, make use of Smokey Joe’s vintage arcade video games at no cost and take part in activities delivered by local organisations.
Some sessions will include activities from providers such as The Music Works and Escape Rooms Cheltenham. Check out @NCLBChelt on Instagram for an up to date activity schedule.
We’re looking for more low-cost and free activity providers to get involved.
