The NCLB Awards 2026, in association with Punchline-Gloucester.com, will take place on Thursday 4 February 2027 at Cheltenham Town Hall.
Our Purpose
The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Awards celebrates the young people, organisations and projects that have made a real difference for children, young people, families and communities in Cheltenham during 2026.
Shortlisted organisations and projects will attend the awards ceremony which is an inspiring evening of celebration, recognition and inspiration.
NCLB believes everyone should be recognised for the positive difference they make in the lives of children, young people and families.
Award Catagories 2026
There are nine award catagories for this years NCLB Awards aimed at recognising how organisations and projects are responding to some of the most pressing challenges facing children, young people, families and the wider community in Cheltenham.
The Community Changemaker award will also be returning this year. This award is especially for young people who have made a difference in their local area, school or by supporting others. Examples might include volunteering in the community, taking action about our changing climate, promoting mental health awareness, advocating for social justice and equity, being a young leader, or taking a courageous step forward.
Judges will select finalists and the winners will be revealed at an invitation-only event on Thursday 5 February 2026 at Cheltenham Town Hall. The evening will be hosted by singer and entertainer Camilla Lewington, alongside entertainer Kishi de l’Allebone.
Supporting children and young people to be safe and free from discrimination.
Challenging bullying and building cultures of kindness, understanding and respect.
Listening to and acting on children and young people’s views, especially those that are often overlooked.
Encouraging children, young people and families across the town to get moving.
Reducing inequalities in educational achievement, this could be in traditional educational settings or alternative education settings.
Working closely with children and families to improve their mental health, using innovative and effective methods.
A business that goes over and above to support children and young people in Cheltenham. This could be through outreach work, fundraising, donations or providing young people with opportunities.
Working to provide support and opportunities to children and young people with additional needs.
Helping children discover and explore their interests through a variety of fun and engaging activities.
This award is especially for young people who have made a difference in their local area, school or by supporting others.
